Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp onion soup mix
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pack (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 12 slices sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 12 slices dill pickle chips
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet or large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, onion soup mix, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and no longer pink, then drain excess grease.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Using a serrated knife, slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating the individual rolls.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls into a 9x13 inch baking sheet.
- Layer the cooked beef evenly across the bottom buns, followed by red onion slices, dill pickle chips, and slices of cheddar cheese.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
- In a small bowl, combine melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, and a pinch of salt.
- Brush the garlic-butter glaze evenly over the tops of the rolls.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
