Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped and toasted
- 2 tbsp fresh chives, finely minced
Instructions:
- Beat the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Note: Use a hand mixer until the mixture is smooth and lump free.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar. Note: Do this by hand so you don't over process the cheese.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Mix until the spices are evenly distributed.
- Spoon the mixture onto a large piece of plastic wrap. Note: Pile it in the center.
- Gather the edges of the wrap and twist. Squeeze the mixture into a firm sphere until it feels tight.
- Refrigerate the wrapped Cheese Ball for 2 hours. Note: This is non negotiable for stability.
- Unwrap the chilled ball. Ensure it feels firm to the touch before proceeding.
- Roll the ball gently in the toasted pecans and minced chives. Note: Press lightly so the nuts adhere.
- Place the ball on a platter. Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
