Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • 3 oz hot water (175°F / 80°C)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla syrup
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp condensed milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl using a fine-mesh sifter to remove all lumps.
  2. Pour in the hot water and use a bamboo whisk or electric frother to blend in a zig-zag motion until a thick, frothy layer of bubbles forms on top.
  3. Stir the vanilla syrup into the warm matcha concentrate until fully incorporated.
  4. Fill a tall 16 oz glass to the brim with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the whole milk and condensed milk into the glass.
  6. Slowly pour the matcha concentrate over the top, pouring over a single ice cube to create a layered effect. Stir gently before drinking.
