Ingredients:

  • 18 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp fine sea salt
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions:

  1. Line an 8x8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, ensuring a 2-inch overhang on two sides to create a sling for easy removal.
  2. In a large microwave-safe glass bowl, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and cubed butter.
  3. Microwave on high for 60 seconds. Remove and stir with a silicone spatula. The mixture will be chunky.
  4. Continue microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring vigorously between each, until the mixture is thick, glossy, and the chocolate is completely melted.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and fine sea salt. Quickly fold in the chopped walnuts if using.
  6. Scrape the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Chill for at least 2 hours before slicing into 36 squares.
