Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt (0% or 2%)
  • 1/4 cup Low-fat Buttermilk
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Dill, finely chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Flat-Leaf Parsley, chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Chives, finely chopped
  • 1 medium Garlic Clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper, or to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Aromatics: Finely chop all fresh herbs (dill, parsley, chives) and mince the garlic clove. Ensure the herbs are dried completely after washing to prevent watery dressing.
  2. Combine the Base: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, buttermilk, fresh lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar until completely smooth and lump-free.
  3. Fold in Flavorings: Add the chopped fresh herbs, minced garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper into the yogurt base. Use a spatula to gently fold the ingredients until they are uniformly distributed.
  4. Check Consistency: If the dressing is too thick, add buttermilk or a tablespoon of water, one teaspoon at a time, until the desired pourable or dipping consistency is achieved.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more salt or pepper for intensity, or a dash more lemon juice for brightness.
  6. Chill for Flavor Development: Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes. This mandatory chilling time allows the dry seasonings and fresh herbs to fully hydrate and infuse the yogurt base.
