Ingredients:
- 3 cups (375g) All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (120ml) Pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup (60ml) Warm milk
- 2 1/4 tsp (7g) Active dry yeast
- 3 tbsp (42g) Unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp (42g) Honey
- 1 tsp (6g) Salt
- 1 tbsp (8g) Pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tbsp (28g) Unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup (50g) Brown sugar
- 1 tsp (2g) Ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Combine warm milk, honey, and yeast in a mixing bowl. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until a foamy layer forms on top.
- Stir in the pumpkin puree and melted butter until the mixture is smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, salt, and pumpkin pie spice. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients.
- Knead the dough using a stand mixer on low speed for 5 minutes or by hand for 8 minutes until smooth and slightly tacky.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for 60–90 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Gently punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
- Flatten each piece into a small circle and spread a small amount of the cinnamon-sugar and softened butter mixture on top before rolling.
- Arrange in a 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
