Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (375g) All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Warm milk
  • 2 1/4 tsp (7g) Active dry yeast
  • 3 tbsp (42g) Unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp (42g) Honey
  • 1 tsp (6g) Salt
  • 1 tbsp (8g) Pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tbsp (28g) Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup (50g) Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp (2g) Ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Combine warm milk, honey, and yeast in a mixing bowl. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until a foamy layer forms on top.
  2. Stir in the pumpkin puree and melted butter until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Whisk together the flour, salt, and pumpkin pie spice. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough using a stand mixer on low speed for 5 minutes or by hand for 8 minutes until smooth and slightly tacky.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm spot for 60–90 minutes or until doubled in size.
  6. Gently punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
  7. Flatten each piece into a small circle and spread a small amount of the cinnamon-sugar and softened butter mixture on top before rolling.
  8. Arrange in a 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
