Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • 0.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.25 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels. Season with kosher salt and black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and minced garlic until the honey is fully emulsified.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and spoon the glaze generously over each piece.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes until the fish starts to turn opaque.
  6. Turn the oven to broil for 2 minutes to further caramelize the honey glaze until bubbly and dark mahogany.
