Ingredients:
- 1 lb Yukon Gold or Baby Potatoes, cubed into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 stalk green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- Heat neutral oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add cubed potatoes in a single layer and fry without stirring for 3-4 minutes until a crust forms, then toss and sear other sides until golden-brown.
- Reduce heat to medium. Push potatoes to the edges of the pan and add minced garlic to the center. Sauté for 30-60 seconds until fragrant, then stir into the potatoes.
- Whisk soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and water in a bowl. Pour the mixture over the potatoes, bring to a simmer, cover the pan, and cook for 5-8 minutes.
- Remove the lid and increase heat to medium-high. Stir constantly for 2-3 minutes until the sauce reduces to a thick, glossy glaze. Stir in sesame oil and remove from heat immediately.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onion before serving.
