Ingredients:

  • 20–24 pieces (approx. 450 g) Frozen Tyson Chicken Nuggets
  • Light spritz Neutral Cooking Oil Spray (Canola or Avocado)
  • Fine Sea Salt, to taste
  • Dipping Sauce(s) of Choice, as desired (e.g., BBQ, Honey Mustard, Ketchup)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Air Fryer: Place the air fryer basket into the unit. Set the temperature to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat for at least 3 minutes. Preheating is the secret to getting a proper crispy crust.
  2. Lightly Dress the Nuggets (Optional but Recommended): In a medium bowl, lightly spritz the frozen nuggets with cooking oil spray. Toss gently once or twice just to ensure even coverage.
  3. Load the Basket: Carefully place the nuggets into the preheated air fryer basket in a single, even layer. Do not overlap or crowd the basket; work in batches if necessary for optimal crispness.
  4. Initial Cook: Cook the nuggets at 400°F (200°C) for 6 minutes.
  5. Shake and Turn: Pause the air fryer. Using tongs, or by carefully removing and shaking the basket, flip or redistribute the nuggets to expose all sides to the hot air.
  6. Second Cook: Return the basket and continue cooking for an additional 4–6 minutes, checking frequently during the final two minutes.
  7. Check for Doneness: The nuggets should be uniformly golden-brown. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the internal temperature has reached a safe 165°F (74°C).
  8. Rest and Season: Immediately transfer the cooked nuggets to a wire rack (to prevent steam buildup). Sprinkle lightly with fine sea salt, if desired.
  9. Serve Hot: Dish up immediately alongside your favourite dipping sauces. Dinner is served!
