Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240ml) Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

Instructions:

  1. Pour the balsamic vinegar into the saucepan over medium heat and bring the liquid to a gentle simmer, avoiding a violent boil to prevent scorching the sugars.
  2. Allow the liquid to simmer undisturbed for 10–15 minutes until the volume has reduced by approximately half and the aroma becomes deep and caramelized.
  3. Perform the 'Spoon Test' by dipping a metal spoon into the glaze and running a finger through the center; if the line holds cleanly without the glaze running back together, the consistency is correct.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat immediately to prevent over-reduction.
