Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 Tbs. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable shortening
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

Step 1. Mix the flour and the baking powder in a bowl.

Step 2. Add salt and shortening to the bowl and mix everything easily.

Step 3. Add egg to mixture, mix well then place dough in large ziplock bag and compress it tightly by squeezing it with your hands for about 10 minutes for oven-baked cookies or 15 minutes for frozen ones.

Step 4. Place the ziplock bag on a baking sheet then keep it inside the refrigerator for two days.

Step 5. After two days, place the bag into another ziplock bag and keep it inside the oven on 200C (390F) for 20 minutes.

Step 6. Cut off a piece of dough and shape it into balls then flatten them with your hands to make a disc-shape cookie like this.
